Come taste seaweed snacks at PLANTED!
KOVE OCEAN FOODS MAKES ITS PUBLIC DEBUT WITH ITS SEAWEED SNACKS AND SEASONING AT THE PLANTED EXPO IN VANCOUVER.
The public is welcome and encouraged to come into the Kove at the Planted Expo to experience the excitement surrounding Cascadia Seaweed’s sustainable way to snack!

Vancouver, B.C. — The Planted Expo is taking place November 20 and 21 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. This is Canada’s largest annual plant-based event, hosting over 200 vegan edible and lifestyle brands under one roof, including the recently launched Kove Ocean Foods powered by Cascadia Seaweed

As awareness significantly builds around the connection of food choices to carbon footprint, it’s no surprise that the overall plant-based food market has experienced an annual growth rate of over 27%, according to market research done by the Good Food InstituteImproving health through the delivery of a nutritious and delicious plant-based lineup of locally and sustainably cultivated food products is the essence of the Kove brand, and it’s clear they’re riding a wave of momentum.

Seaweed is arguably the most sustainable crop on the planet and packs a serious nutritional punch. Not only is it a zero input crop requiring only sunlight and the sea to grow - meaning no land, fresh water, or fertilizers -  it is packed with nutrients that support heart, thyroid, and gut health.

“This event is a celebration of all things plant-based and sustainable for the health of people, our planet, and the animals we share it with! What a perfect event to make our debut as it aligns so beautifully with our CPG food brand Kove and we can't wait to showcase our seaweed snacks including our seaweed popcorn,” says Desiree Dupuis, VP of Sales and Marketing at Cascadia Seaweed.

The
Kove team is enthusiastic about offering samples of its signature seaweed seasoning SEA SPICE at booth 339 to members of the public during this two-day in-person event, and will be offering limited quantities at an exclusive trade-show price!

UPDATE!

The halls of the show were full of excitement as the plant-based movement in Vancouver continues to charge ahead full steam. Our booth was bumping and we could barely keep up with the demand of sea spice popcorn as the aroma seduced visitors to come see the new kid in town.

The public response to our signature seaweed seasoning spice SEA SPICE was overwhelming! We sold out of our initial limited supply and we are now currently waiting on packaging to go into full production.

Sea Spice will be available in retail stores in February 2022.

We are currently working on a variety of seaweed snacks and food products.

Your sea salt/seaweed seasoning looks really interesting and I’d like to try some. Are there plans to find someone who will sell it in Tofino? We get a lot of visitors here, and I expect there are many who feel as I do. Besides, I seldom go across the Island to any of your listed stores. This is a west coast product, and it is only sensible that there be a west coast sales outlet.
Thank you
Carol
